Making Room for What's Growing
A few weeks ago, I moved one of my tomato plants out of the garden bed and into its own pot. It needed more space to grow freely.
Around the same time I removed a few plants that had reached the end of their season. Suddenly the garden looked emptier. But it wasn't empty in the way we're taught to be afraid of. It was making room.
Sometimes the next version of our lives can't expand while we're insisting that everything from the previous season remain exactly where it was.
